Kristin Sunderhaft is a Class A Member of the LPGA, Teaching and Club Professional Division, and the Author of the book “Swinging For Success, Life Lessons I’ve Learned on the Golf Course”. She has also authored a feature golf column for the Las Vegas Review Journal and articles for various local golf magazines. She has been teaching golf for over 20 years.
Kristin graduated from Upper Arlington HS, Columbus, Oh. in 1985, a school rich in golf tradition including Jack Nicklaus, as one of its famous graduates. She graduated from Wittenberg University in 1989 and went to work in the field of accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Realizing accounting was not her passion she took her first assistant golf professional job at Naperville Country Club, outside of Chicago and began her LPGA training and certification. Since then, she has been on the staff of Mayfield Country Club, Cleveland, Oh, Callaway Golf Corp, Las Vegas and the Kapalua Golf Academy, Maui. In 2006 she returned to Las Vegas from Maui to start her own golf instruction business and began teaching full time as an independent instructor at the Callaway Golf Center, Anthem Country Club and The Legacy Golf Club. She also took time from teaching golf to play mini tour events on the Futures Tour and various West Coast Tours, which further helped her to develop her instruction skills and knowledge. Most recently she has been working with physical therapists and sports trainers to integrate fitness training into her golf instruction.
Kristin teaches men, women and children of all skill levels from beginners to professionals. She is experienced teaching both groups and one on one. Her communication skills and enthusiasm distinguish her from other instructors. Her proven teaching methods keep lessons simple, understandable and fun. Each student has different needs and Kristin’s 20 years of experience allows her to tailor lessons to the requirements of each student. Her lessons utilize swing drills, various training aids, and video analysis.
